here are two significant styles of furniture featured in the courses to learn woodworking skills - the British vernacular tradition which fits in loosely with the styles of the Arts and Crafts movement and the American tradition of the Shaker communities. Both have clear simple designs which are elegant and functional. They have the added advantage of being relatively simple to make.

he core of the woodworking courses will involve furniture making but not exclusively so. My experience at the Greenwood Trust has equipped me in the use of green, i.e. unseasoned, small diameter timbers.

e want you to learn woodworking skills in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our courses run on weekdays and are typically for two days. For the more ambitious projects you would need to book in for more than one course. There is ample parking.
